Renogy

Renogy is the brand of RNG International, Inc., based in Ontario, California, and founded by Dr. Yi Li in 2010. It began by selling solar panels online and now sells off-grid and mobile power systems for RVs, vans, boats and cabins.

In this category it sells rigid, flexible and portable solar panels from 50 W to 590 W and 12 V and 48 V LiFePO4 batteries, plus the charge controllers, inverters and DC-DC chargers that connect them. It sells direct from renogy.com, through its Amazon and eBay stores, and through Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy, Camping World and Walmart’s marketplace.

Warranty terms are set by model and cover the original buyer only. Current rigid panels carry 10 years on materials and workmanship and a 25-year, 80 percent output warranty; flexible panels carry 5 years. Its lithium batteries carry 5 to 8 years, the 5-year terms prorated after the first year.

In 2016 the CPSC recalled about 1,500 RNG-100DB bendable panels for overheating, with free replacement. In 2024 Renogy filed NHTSA recall 24E-005 for about 1,800 51.2 V battery packs built for RV makers, remedied with a firmware update.
