Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: August 31, 2026
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, Unbroken Ads LLC may earn a commission from the seller. You pay exactly the same price either way — the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket.
That is the whole of the commercial relationship. What follows is what it does not affect, which is the part worth reading.
What commission does not affect
These are commitments, not formalities.
Scores are calculated before commercial relationships are considered. The eight usability criteria and the five social pools are scored against published anchor tables. A product’s score is what those criteria produce. There is no adjustment, no weighting and no thumb on the scale for a product that pays.
Rankings are produced from those scores. A ranking page orders products by the score they already hold. Position is not for sale and never will be.
Products we earn nothing from are included on the same terms. Several brands covered here run no affiliate program at all and sell factory-direct. They are scored, ranked and written up identically. A product that cannot earn us a cent can and does outrank one that could.
Criticism is not withheld. The most useful sentence on a product page is usually the one naming what the manufacturer claims but cannot substantiate, and those sentences stay in whether or not the link pays. Where a certification is narrower than the marketing, we say so. Where a review pool is contaminated by the manufacturer’s own widget, we say so. Where a brand cannot be assessed honestly at all, we say that rather than inventing a number.
What we do not do
We do not accept payment for placement, for inclusion, for a score, or for a ranking position. We do not accept payment to remove or soften criticism. No manufacturer or retailer reviews our content before it is published, and none has editorial input of any kind. We publish no sponsored posts and no paid guest content.
We do not accept free product in exchange for coverage. Assessments are built from published specifications, verifiable certification records, and independent review pools — not from samples supplied by the companies being assessed.
Advertising
This site currently displays no advertising. If display advertising is added, it will be identifiable as advertising, it will be kept away from scoring and ranking content, and advertisers will have no influence over any editorial decision. This page will be updated before that happens.
The legal note
This disclosure is made under the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials, 16 CFR Part 255. If any part of it is unclear, write to contact@stuffvsthings.com and we will explain it.
