  • Plans: he had found 540Ah too small and was weighing a third GC3 against replacing both

  • Battle Born Batteries is the brand of Dragonfly Energy Holdings Corp. of Reno, Nevada (Nasdaq: DFLI), a company founded in 2012.
  • Dragonfly Energy acquired the Dakota Lithium brand's assets in July 2026 and runs that brand separately from Battle Born.

It sells with a cart at battlebornbatteries.com, through dealers and installers on its dealer locator, and on Amazon US, where Amazon.com sells its 100Ah battery.

The Battle Born BBGC3H-1KIT pairs the BBGC3H, a 12 V, 270 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery with integrated heating, with a heat-enable cable kit.

It stores 3,456 Wh at 12.8 V nominal, and its BMS is rated 300 A continuous, 500 A for 30 seconds and a half-second surge above that, with 135 A maximum charge and 0.5C recommended. When the heat-enable circuit is switched on, a 28 W heater warms the cells from an internal temperature of about 35°F.

Battle Born's data sheet estimates the heater uses about 45 Ah over 24 hours at 25°F and 65 Ah at 15°F. It measures 22.83 x 7.09 x 13.15 in, weighs 80.8 lb and has brass flag terminals, an M4 heat-enable terminal, an IP65 sealed ABS case and mounting in any orientation.

It wires up to four in series for 48 V, with no limit in parallel, and has no Bluetooth or communication port. The box holds the battery, a stainless finishing hardware kit and the heat-enable kit: a rocker switch, two 25 ft 18 AWG wires, a jumper for a second heated battery, screws, a ring lug and shrink wrap.

The Smart heated version, BBGC3iH-1KIT, is $2,699.00.
