The Epoch 24V 230Ah V2 Elite (model C24230A) is a 25.6 V, 230 Ah LiFePO4 battery storing 5,888 Wh (5.89 kWh) in eight series prismatic cells. Epoch rates it at 110 A continuous discharge and 110 A continuous charge, with 300 A peak discharge and 200 A charge for short periods.
The BMS trips at 280 A discharge or 200 A charge after 5 seconds, short-circuit protection acts at 1,200 A, and a 270 A internal fuse (UL 60691) sits inside the case. A heater powered by the charge source warms the cells before charging, which is supported from −30 °C (−22 °F) ambient; discharge runs from −20 to 55 °C.
Bluetooth runs through the included battery gauge to the Epoch Li-Ion app, and CAN at 500 kbit/s links it to a Victron GX device with DVCC. Banks run up to 16 in parallel or two in series for 51.2 V.
The IP67 case measures 20.86 x 8.65 x 12.06 in (529.8 x 219.8 x 306.3 mm) with the terminal posts, weighs 97 lb (about 44 kg) and has M8 terminals. In the box are the mountable gauge, a mountable on/off switch and the Victron communication harness; an 8D mounting bracket is sold separately.
Epoch rates it for 3,500 or more cycles to 70 percent remaining capacity and gives it an 11-year limited warranty with registration within 90 days. The V2-T Elite version with an integrated 300 A Class T fuse (C24230A-A) is $2,599 on its own page.
