  • Load: 3,840 W maximum load or inverter power
  • Charging: 300 A continuous charge; 60 to 120 A recommended
  • Temperature: charges 32 to 122°F, discharges -4 to 140°F
  • Curve: the manual charts cycles by depth of discharge without printed figures
  • Claim: none on page
  • Holder search: no record
  • UN 38.3: not counted
  • Extension: 2 more years for an order review and activation
  • List: $1,259.99 at vatrerpower.com

7.7 kWh at 107.7 lb, no heater

  • What it is: a 12.8 V, 600 Ah LiFePO4 battery with Bluetooth for RV, cabin and home storage banks
  • The trade-off: the most energy per pound here, but no heater and a 300 A limit at half its capacity rating
  • Fit: a long, low case that suits a bay or under-seat run more than a square box
  • Not checked: the depth of discharge and end point behind the cycle rating
  • Look elsewhere for: charging below freezing, closed-loop inverter communication or more than 300 A

Strengths

  • Very large capacity in one battery
  • Light for its stored energy
  • Bluetooth app monitoring built in
  • Sealed case
  • Series and parallel expansion

Drawbacks

  • Low continuous current for its capacity
  • No heater: will not charge below freezing
  • No CAN or RS485 closed-loop port
  • Cycle rating states no depth or end point
  • Full warranty term needs an order review
  • Depreciation charged after year two
