The Epoch 12334A-MC is a 12.8 V, 334 Ah LiFePO4 battery in the Essential Series, storing 4.28 kWh (4,275 Wh) in a powder-coated steel case with four Grade-A prismatic cells in series (4S1P).

Its BMS is rated at 300 A continuous discharge and 300 A continuous charge, with 600 A for up to 10 seconds, 150 A recommended for daily use and up to 167 A recommended for charging.

An internal heating film lets it charge from −20 to 55°C: with a charger connected and the cells below 0°C, it heats them and holds off charging until they pass 5°C, which can take up to 60 minutes.

It speaks the Victron CAN-bus protocol: wired to a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, the host battery sets charge limits through DVCC, and batteries link over RJ45 patch cables with no DIP switches.

The Epoch Li-Ion app shows state of charge, cell voltages, temperatures, heater status and protection history over Bluetooth, and a 2 A active balancer works across the full state of charge. It runs in parallel only: four are validated and up to sixteen with Epoch design support, and series wiring is not approved.

The IP21 case is for dry indoor spaces, measures 15.35 x 8.07 x 11.02 in (390 x 205 x 280 mm), has M10 female terminals and weighs 75 lb (34 kg); the box holds two M10 stainless terminal bolts with washers. Epoch rates it for more than 4,500 cycles.

The Group 31 12334A-H (IP54, 200 A, 60 lb) is $1,299 on its own page and was out of stock on 2026-10-14.
