7.2 kWh heated, but 136 lb at 300 A

  • What it is: a 12.8 V, 560 Ah heated LiFePO4 battery with Bluetooth for full-time RV and off-grid banks
  • The trade-off: the most energy in one heated case, but its weight and a 300 A limit well under 1C
  • Fit: a near-cube case Vatrer says can stand upright or lie on its side
  • Not checked: the depth of discharge and end point behind the cycle rating
  • Look elsewhere for: closed-loop inverter communication or a battery one person can lift

Strengths

  • Very large capacity in one battery
  • Built-in heater for cold charging
  • Bluetooth app monitoring built in
  • Sealed case
  • Mounts upright or on its side

Drawbacks

  • Low continuous current for its capacity
  • Very heavy for one battery
  • No CAN or RS485 closed-loop port
  • Cycle rating states no depth or end point
  • Full warranty term needs an order review
  • Depreciation charged after year two

  • Cabin: an r/solar owner running two 12V 100Ah units for ten months reported balanced cells and no capacity loss he could detect (about March 2026)
  • Caveats: the same owner found the app dated, with disconnects at range, and the documentation in the box sparse (about March 2026)
  • Outdoor use: in an r/SolarDIY thread on the wall battery, a reply said it is an indoor battery despite its IP65 rating, and another pointed to Will Prowse's mostly positive tests (July 2025)
  • Track record: an r/SolarDIY reply called Vatrer generally good batteries but said the record depends on the model (September 2026)

  • Vatrer Power is the brand of Shenzhen Vatrer Power Source Technology Co., Ltd., a company based in Shenzhen, China, that its own blog says was founded in 2021.
  • The VATRER trademark is registered at the USPTO to Guangdong Zhongju Power Technology Co., Ltd. of Huizhou, and no US company is named behind the brand.
  • It sells with a cart at vatrerpower.com, which also runs Canadian, European, Japanese and Australian stores.
  • In the US it also sells on Amazon through the VATRER POWER brand store and on Walmart.com as the marketplace seller VATRER POWER.

The Vatrer 12V 560Ah Self-Heating (LiFePO4 Battery 12.8V 560Ah Self-heating on its spec sheet) is a 12.8 V, 560 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery storing 7,168 Wh.

Its BMS is rated 300 A continuous charge and 300 A continuous discharge, with 3,840 W of maximum load or inverter power and a recommended 112 A (0.2C) charge at 14.2 to 14.6 V. It charges and discharges from -4°F, charging to 122°F and discharging to 140°F.

Below 32°F incoming charge current runs the heater, and charging starts once the cells pass 41°F; the manual asks for more than 10 A of charge current to heat. It has a Bluetooth app, an ON/OFF switch and carry handles, and Vatrer says it can sit upright or on its side.

The IP65 case has M8 terminals, measures 16.69 x 14.80 x 11.14 in (424 x 376 x 283 mm) and weighs 136.58 lb (61.95 kg). It connects up to four in series as 4S4P, or up to ten in parallel. Multi-packs sell at $2,729.99 for two, $5,439.99 for four and $13,549.99 for ten.
