Large heated capacity, heavy and Current-Limited

  • What it is: a 12.8 V, 280 Ah heated LiFePO4 battery with Bluetooth in a serviceable aluminium case for RV, marine and off-grid banks
  • The trade-off: large heated capacity and app monitoring, but heavy for its size, a modest continuous current and no closed-loop communication
  • Conflict: the page's cycle rating is two to three times the manual's; the manual is used
  • Look elsewhere for: more than 200 A from one battery, a lighter battery or inverter communication over CAN

Strengths

  • Large capacity in one 12 V case
  • Built-in heater for cold charging
  • Bluetooth monitoring through a phone app
  • User-serviceablewith replaceable BMS and cells
  • Long, transferable warranty

Drawbacks

  • Heavy for its capacity
  • Low continuous current for its capacity
  • Page cycle rating far above the manual's
  • No CAN or RS485 battery communication
  • Case not rated against water
  • Warranty excludes round-trip shipping
