Reddit owners split on LiTime and Ampere Time 12 V batteries. In an r/vandwellers thread an owner calls his Ampere Time 100Ah fantastic (July 2024), and replies in an r/SolarDIY thread on 24 V banks say LiTime batteries have been torn down many times and the build quality is excellent (March 2026). Against that, an r/boating owner's 100Ah lost its BMS after 10 cycles and LiTime, having agreed it was defective, stopped answering about the return (October 2025), and an r/OffGrid owner of 16 Ampere Time batteries reports BMS failures at 1.5 years and a support team that blamed his charging and wiring (January 2024).

Complaints
  • Sold as heated by a support email; has no heating, per one owner
  • No low-temperature charge cut-off, per two owners
  • Vague, conflicting answers from support, per one owner

DIY Solar Forum owners of the 12V 460Ah report a feature mix-up rather than a fault. One owner bought them after LiTime support confirmed by email that they had built-in heating, then found neither heating nor a low-temperature charge cut-off, got vague and conflicting answers from support, and now sets his Victron equipment not to charge below 32°F (June 2026). In the same thread a second owner of a Plus-series battery said it has no low-temperature protection (June 2026).

Will Prowse (DIY Solar Power), whose videos all include paid promotion or free product, who sells LiTime batteries on his website and whose LiTime links carry his affiliate code, surge-tested the 460Ah Plus with a 4000 W inverter and a Victron MultiPlus-II, ran a 268 A continuous load and tore it down; he called it impressive for the money, put one surge shutdown down to the inverter rather than the battery, and noted it has no low-temperature charge protection (November 2023, about 361,000 views).
