Short 24 V panel, middling module efficiency

  • What it is: a 175 W, 24 V N-type rigid panel in a near-square frame, sold with a 20 ft extension cable set
  • The trade-off: fits a short roof section, but its module efficiency is far below the cell figure marketed
  • Warranty: Rich Solar's own pages give three different product terms; the shortest is scored
  • Look elsewhere for: more watts per square foot or a 12 V-only system

Strengths

  • Short, near-square frame for tight roofs
  • Long power-output guarantee
  • Sealed junction box and connectors
  • Extension cable set in the box
  • Suits 24 V banks from one panel

Drawbacks

  • Module efficiency well below the marketed cell figure
  • Warranty terms differ across Rich Solar's own pages
  • No split-cell layout or station adapters
  • Modest output for its frame size
