Redodo is the brand of Shenzhen Maicheng Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. of Shenzhen, China, which holds its US trademarks and FCC grants, and its press releases give 2020 as its founding year.
It sells direct from redodopower.com, which ships US orders from US warehouses, and through its own Amazon and Walmart seller accounts, with separate stores for Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Japan.
The Redodo 12V/24V 40A MPPT (store SKU R24V40A-MPPT-BT-E1) is a 40 A MPPT solar charge controller for 12 V and 24 V battery banks. Its spec table gives a 100 V maximum solar input voltage, up to 600 W of panels at 12 V and 1,200 W at 24 V, a 9 to 32 V battery range and a 20 A rated load output; its manual adds a maximum power point range from battery voltage plus 3 V to 76 V, no-load loss of 12 mA at 12 V and 10 mA at 24 V, an IP32 protection degree and an operating range of -31°F to 113°F. Redodo's product page gives up to 99 percent tracking efficiency and up to 98 percent peak conversion efficiency; the manual's specification table gives 97 percent conversion efficiency and 99.9 percent tracking efficiency. It ships set for a 12 V LiFePO4 battery, offers FLD, SEL, GEL and a user-definable profile, and per the manual the LiFePO4 setting needs the system voltage set by hand rather than on auto. Built in are Bluetooth for the Redodo app, an RS485 port (RJ12), an LCD with four buttons and four LED indicators, and a remote temperature sensor port; the sensor drives low-temperature charge protection for lithium batteries (stops below 32°F, resumes above 41°F, off by default) and temperature compensation for lead acid. Protections cover reverse connection, over-power, over-voltage, short circuit and over-temperature. The manual gives 9.65 x 7.07 x 3.25 in (245 x 180 x 82.5 mm) and 4.41 lb. In the box, per the manual: the controller, a remote temperature sensor with an adhesive pad, six copper wire connectors and six heat-shrink tubes. Redodo also sells it in its 2.1kWh Off-Grid Solar Kit with the 12V 165Ah battery and the 2000W inverter ($728.42), its 4.2kWh Off-Grid Solar Kit with two 165Ah batteries and the 3000W inverter charger ($1,394.81), and its Lead-to-Lithium Upgrade Kit with the 12V 320Ah Mini ($1,258.10 with the 2000W inverter, a 40A charger and the 40A DC-DC; $1,366.41 with the 3000W inverter charger and the 40A DC-DC).
