The SaunaMAX PRO is a fanless, all-aluminium panel rated IP65 and up to 150 degrees F for use inside a sauna, 39 by 10 inches with 320 LEDs at six wavelengths from 480 to 850 nm. FDA lists it under the importer's registration, but no 510(k) exists and Intertek's directory carries no listing for it, so it scores 2 on verification. Light Therapy Insiders measured 41.1 mW/cm2 on average at 6 inches in 2023 on a unit PlatinumLED supplied, without naming the meter, and PlatinumLED's own 2026 lab report counts a different mix of red and infrared LEDs, so light output is not scored. Two Reddit owners and the same tester praise its build and silence and fault a heat rating that hotter saunas exceed. It is $959 on platinumtherapylights.com.

The SaunaMAX PRO is PlatinumLED's panel for use inside a sauna, 39 by 10 by 3.5 inches and 17 lb, carrying 320 LEDs at six published peaks, 480, 630, 660, 810, 830 and 850 nm. Its all-aluminium housing is fanless and rated IP65 against moisture and for heat up to 150 degrees F, it draws 201 W from the mains, and it comes with a remote, an integrated timer and mounting hardware for a wall, door or sauna; a mobile stand is $229. PlatinumLED's warranty covers it for 3 years.

Two owners posted their SaunaMAX PRO setups in r/redlighttherapy in early 2025, and both are positive. One runs two units in a 4 by 6 foot traditional sauna at 180 degrees F, above the panel's 150 degree rating; he set them into the wall with the cooling fins outside the cabin, calls them very well built, and read the panel backs at 130 and 133 degrees F after a 30-minute session (February 2025). The other, who posts a PlatinumLED referral link in the same thread, hung his unit on the glass of a Clearlight sauna using its pre-drilled holes and runs it from the sauna's own outlet (January 2025, still using it in November 2025).

Light Therapy Insiders (Alex Fergus), a market-wide tester that received the unit free from PlatinumLED and links it at 5 percent off through a PlatinumLED affiliate link, reviewed the SaunaMAX PRO in writing in February 2025, from its September 2023 video test. It calls it one of the best options for adding red light to a sauna and praises the silent fanless build, the adjustable intensity and the app control. It faults the 150 degree F rating, which its own sauna reaches, a power cable it had to run through the sauna door, no way to join panels, a small treatment area inside a sauna and on-panel controls that are hard to read under red light, and it found lower output than PlatinumLED's BIOMAX panels.

Light Therapy Insiders (Alex Fergus), a market-wide tester whose descriptions carry a PlatinumLED discount link beside SaunaSpace and Clearlight links, posted a first look in April 2023 and a full review in September 2023 (about 9,100 views), both on a unit PlatinumLED supplied. After several days inside his infrared sauna he calls it one of the top options for in-sauna red light, silent with no fan and usable outside the sauna as an ambient light, and says the 150 degree F ceiling rules out hotter traditional saunas and that the cord kept his door from sealing. Ben Chill's and Doing Light Therapy at Home's videos count in no pool, because those channels carry SaunaBox, LifePro and Mito codes.

PlatinumLED is the trade name of Platinum LED Holdings LLC of Lake Mary, Florida, run by its founders Mark and Michelle Sawyer. FDA's registration lists the company as developing specifications rather than manufacturing, and E.Shine Systems Limited of China lists the BIOMAX and BIOMAX PRO panels under its own FDA registration; US customs records name E Shine and suppliers in Thailand and Malaysia. PlatinumLED sells direct from platinumtherapylights.com and pays affiliates 5 percent through a referral programme. Amazon US carries only its link-out listings for multi-panel sets, with 0 reviews, and no US retailer sells a PlatinumLED device with a review file of its own, so those two pools are blank on every row. Its Trustpilot profile reads 4.0 from 198 reviews, 151 of them in the last 12 months; PlatinumLED claimed the profile in October 2025 and invites reviews, the profile read 1.9 from 47 before it was claimed, and in September 2026 the split was 61 percent five-star against 32 percent one-star. Complaints there cover the 20 percent restocking fee, buyer-paid return freight, refused warranty claims and combative replies. The BBB holds three files on the company, rated F, F and C, none accredited, with 21 complaints in three years between them. FDA's recall database holds no PlatinumLED entry, and its adverse-event database holds two injury reports on the BIOMAX 900, from 2022 and 2026. Joovv's patent suit against Platinum LED Holdings ended in a consent judgment for Joovv in March 2023, and Mito Red Light's false-advertising suit against PlatinumLED's companies and its marketing contractor closed in September 2023. The review widget on platinumtherapylights.com is first-party and counts in no pool, nor does PlatinumLED's own YouTube channel, and Fuel Health & Wellness counts in no pool because the channel carries Mito and Kineon codes. Every PlatinumLED device carries a 3-year warranty for its original buyer. LED panels may be returned within 60 days less a 20 percent restocking fee and return shipping, a panel counts as open box once delivered, and stands and accessories are final sale.
