Mito's Best Seller Measures a Third of Its Headline

The MitoPRO 1500X is Mito's most popular panel and the full-body size of its six-wavelength X series, at $1,299 for a 430 sq in face. Mito's own lab report, commissioned from LightLab International in September 2025, gives a 53.5 mW/cm2 average and 72.5 peak at 6 inches on the current hardware, against the more than 160 on its page from a solar meter. Light Therapy Insiders, which earns a commission on Mito sales, measured 68 to 74.5 on an early-2024 unit whose near-infrared peaked at 810 and 830 nm with no 850 nm peak, so that figure describes earlier hardware. Intertek and UL both list the finished panel; there is no 510(k). The 10-inch width is the complaint reviewers repeat, since it lights a narrow strip of the body at a time. Buyers get published lab data and a 3-year warranty, and pay $130 more than the four-wavelength 1500+ for the amber and 810 nm channels and the app.

PROS
  • Lab-measured 53.5 mW/cm2 average at 6 in, report published
  • Six peaks with per-wavelength shares and a lab spectrum
  • ETL listing and UL listing on the finished panel
  • Wall draw measured, 418.7 W
  • 3-year warranty and 60-day return with no restocking fee
CONS
  • Claimed >160 mW/cm2 is a solar-meter figure
  • 10-inch width lights a narrow strip
  • No 510(k); "FDA Class II registered" is an exempt listing
  • No housing material published
  • Independent test was of earlier hardware without 850 nm

The MitoPRO 1500X is the full-body size of the MitoPRO X series: a 10 x 43 in panel, 25 lb, with 300 dual-chip LEDs across six peaks from 590 to 850 nm, a touchscreen and Bluetooth app control. Mito lists 445 W, and its lab measured 418.7 W at the wall. It ships with a door hook, steel cables and straps, and Mito states more than 160 mW/cm2 at 6 in on a solar meter.

Brand-level

Mito Red Light, LLC of Scottsdale, Arizona sells direct from mitoredlight.com, and on Amazon only its 2.0 panels. Its Trustpilot profile reads 4.4 from 1,076 reviews, which Mito invites, split 76 percent five-star against 9 percent one-star, and it replies to 99 percent of negative reviews; the BBB rates it A and has accredited it since September 2021. No US retailer publishes its own reviews of a Mito device: Best Buy's marketplace listings, sold under Mito's trade name MRL Horizons LLC, carry ratings syndicated from mitoredlight.com, so the retailer pool is empty at every level. Mito's one recall, of the discontinued Mito Mobile Super for a battery fire risk, does not cover this device.
