Light, Warmth and Vibration in a Wand With Little to Measure

The Red Light Face Wand pairs LEDs at 660 and 850 nm with sonic vibration and gentle heat in a 5.9-inch aluminium alloy body that charges by USB-C, and Bon Charge recommends 5 to 10 minutes several times a week. No measurement of it exists, so light output is not scored; Bon Charge states 55 to 73 W/m2, about 6 mW/cm2. It appears in GUDID under BLUblox but in no FDA registration listing and in no safety directory, so it scores 2 on verification. Three testers found it light, quick and pleasant to use, and two wanted a case. It is $149 on boncharge.com.

Brand-level

Bon Charge is the trading name of BLUblox Pty Ltd of Osborne Park, Western Australia, founded in 2017 as BLUblox by Andy and Katie Mant and renamed Bon Charge in 2022. FDA lists BLUblox as an exporter of devices made by others: GUDID records name Sunglor Technology Co., Ltd. of Shenzhen as the maker of its panels, Mini, blanket and both masks, and Light Tree Ventures Europe B.V. of The Hague as the maker of its cap. It sells direct from boncharge.com and ships US orders from abroad. Amazon US lists no Bon Charge light device, only three reseller listings for its glasses with 0 or 1 rating each, and no US retailer sells its light devices with a review file of their own, so those two pools are blank on every row. Its Trustpilot profile, under the blublox.com domain, reads 3.7 from 1,659 reviews, 73 percent five-star against 21 percent one-star; Bon Charge claimed it in September 2020, invites reviews and replies to 67 percent of negative ones. Complaints there and on Reddit cover late deliveries, unanswered email, store credit only on orders bought with a code of 25 percent or more, and returns and warranty claims shipped to Australia at the buyer's cost. The BBB holds no file on the company. FDA's recall and adverse-event databases hold no Bon Charge entry, and a federal class action filed in Delaware in January 2025, King v. Bon Charge, concerns its marketing text messages. Bon Charge pays creators 15 percent through an ambassador programme, so most write-ups of its devices carry a Bon Charge code or link, and each is named with its tie where it is used. The review widget on boncharge.com is first-party and counts in no pool, nor do Bon Charge's own channels, its ambassadors' and advisers' posts or The Chalkboard Mag's partnership pieces; Nick Engerer's and Dr Carrie Rigoni's reviews count nowhere because their sites carry codes for competing brands. Every Bon Charge red light device carries a 1-year warranty from delivery, and items may be returned within 30 days at the buyer's cost. On this row three pools are populated: web coverage reads the wand itself, and Reddit and YouTube read Bon Charge at brand level.
