Goal Zero is a portable power brand of Goal Zero LLC, founded in Utah in 2009 by Robert Workman and based in Draper, Utah. NRG Energy bought it in 2014 and sold it to BioLite, the Brooklyn off-grid energy company, in April 2025; the two brands now share sales, operations and engineering teams.
In this category Goal Zero sells sixth-generation LiFePO4 Yeti stations from the 297 Wh Yeti 300 to the 1,505 Wh Yeti 1500 and the 3,994 Wh Yeti PRO 4000, which links to Tank PRO 4000 expansion batteries. It also sells Nomad and Boulder solar panels, Haven home backup kits built around the Haven 10 transfer switch, and earlier NMC Yeti X stations.
US buyers can order from goalzero.com, Goal Zero’s Amazon store and REI. Goal Zero’s warranty gives 5 years on its LiFePO4 Yetis, the Yeti PRO 4000 included, and 2 years on NMC models, and goalzero.com allows returns within 30 days, less a return fee of $80 to $450 on Yeti stations. In August 2026 the CPSC announced recall 26-712 of about 46,200 Yeti 3000X stations, remedied by a firmware update. The BBB rates Goal Zero LLC A- without accreditation, and Trustpilot rates goalzero.com 3.9 from 85 reviews.
