Twenty dollars over the triple purpose cartridge buys a polyphosphate stage that inhibits scale and lays a protective film on metal surfaces downstream, which is a genuinely useful thing on hard water where a full softener is not going in. The trade is flow: 9 GPM against 12 for the plain triple purpose version, and that is a meaningful difference on a two-bathroom home running fixtures at once. Siliphos is scale sequestration, not softening, so hardness minerals stay in the water and glassware will still spot. The specification sheet marks PFAS reduction as Yes, and Aquasure's own support puts that figure at around 40 percent at best across the V2 cartridge range, which is a claim the column cannot express and the buyer should not read as protection. Service life is the same six months, and the warranty is one year rather than five. It earns its place as a softener alternative in a small home or as scale protection ahead of a water heater.

The Aquasure Fortitude V2 Siliphos is a single-cartridge whole-house system combining copper-zinc infused sediment media, granular activated carbon and a polyphosphate scale-inhibiting siliphos stage. Aquasure rates it at 50,000 gallons or six months with a 25 micron rating and a maximum 9 GPM, and marks scale, sediment, chlorine, chemical and PFAS reduction as Yes on its specification sheet. The replacement cartridge is AF-SPX-25HFL.
