Usability
The Total Solution S10 is the only APEC product that treats the whole house and the drinking tap as one problem, and buying the three stages separately costs more than the package does. Its strongest attribute is that APEC publishes the stage composition explicitly, naming the WTS-MAX-10, the SOFTENER-HE-30-FG and the RO-Hi with a flow rating against each, which is more disclosure than any other whole house product in the range receives. Its weakest is certification: a genuine ion exchange softener with no NSF/ANSI 44 listing and a carbon stage with no system certification means the only third-party evidence in the package belongs to the RO-Hi, and that covers total dissolved solids. The bottleneck is the carbon stage at 10 GPM rather than the softener at 12, which is worth knowing before sizing against peak demand. Service intervals differ sharply across the three stages, so the six to twelve month RO pre-filter schedule governs the whole installation even though the carbon media runs for years.

The APEC Water Systems Total Solution S10 is a three-stage package combining the WTS-MAX-10 catalytic carbon filter at 10 gallons per minute, a SOFTENER-HE-30-FG ion exchange softener rated to 30,000 grains at 12 gallons per minute, and an RO-Hi point-of-use reverse osmosis system producing 75 to 90 gallons per day. Filtration capacity on the carbon stage is quoted at 600,000 gallons and the package is sized for a one to three bathroom home of six to ten people. All three stages operate between 40 and 80 psi.
