Crystal Quest Arsenic Under Sink Water Filter System
Point-of-use arsenic reduction in three configurations, rated 10,000 gallons on the multistage build.
$183
Usability
At 183 dollars this is the cheapest arsenic-specific treatment Crystal Quest sells, roughly a thirteenth of the whole-house tank, and for a household that only drinks and cooks from one tap that ratio is the whole argument. The dedicated arsenic cartridge is a separate part number rather than a claim layered onto a general carbon filter, and the multistage build is rated for 10,000 gallons or one to three years. The double at 224 dollars is the configuration that makes sense on chlorinated supplies, since the arsenic media does nothing for chlorine or chloramine. Arsenic is a health-effects contaminant with a federal maximum contaminant level, and this system carries no NSF/ANSI 53 arsenic listing, no effluent target and no indication of whether it handles arsenic III as well as arsenic V. Anyone acting on a positive arsenic test should treat that gap as decisive rather than as fine print.
- Dedicated arsenic cartridge rather than an arsenic claim on a general carbon filter
- 10,000 gallon or one to three year rating on the multistage build
- Three configurations on one page spanning 74 dollars
- Far cheaper than point-of-entry arsenic treatment for a drinking-water-only need
- Full operating envelope published including connection size and pressure range
- No NSF/ANSI 53 arsenic reduction listing on a regulated health-effects contaminant
- No indication of whether the media addresses arsenic III as well as arsenic V
- No stated influent limit or effluent target
- The single configuration does not address chlorine or chloramine at all
- One-year limited warranty and filter media cannot be returned
An under-sink system built around a dedicated arsenic removal cartridge, sold in single, double and triple housings, with the double adding the SMART redox and carbon cartridge and the triple adding a carbon block. Crystal Quest rates the multistage build for one to three years or 10,000 gallons. Quarter-inch connection, 20 to 60 psi, 0.5 GPM maximum flow.
