Everything Aquasana claims at point of entry with the Rhino line, it actually certifies here. NSF/ANSI 53 and 401 coverage with PFAS tested to 20 ppt is stronger paperwork than most under sink filters at any price, and Consumer Reports' lab work backs it up. The Claryum 2-Stage is the entry point to Aquasana's under sink range. Two cartridges combine activated and catalytic carbon with ion exchange, sub-micron filtration and an organic adsorbent booster, and the system feeds a dedicated all-metal faucet that mounts in a spare sink hole.
Certification is the reason to buy it. It is WQA tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 including P473, and 401, for 99.995% of cysts, 99.6% of microplastics and lead, 99.7% of PFOA and PFOS, 97.3% of chlorine and 91% of chloramines. The PFAS figure is tested down to 20 parts per trillion under NSF's stricter protocol, which is a materially harder test than the one most competitors quote.
Capacity is 500 gallons or about six months, the shortest in the range, and rated flow is 0.5 GPM. The faucet comes in brushed nickel, chrome, matte black and oil rubbed bronze, or you can order the system without one and use your own.
