This is the sensible middle of the under-sink fluoride range: the combined fluoride and SMART cartridge does what the double-housing system does, in a housing five inches wide, for ten dollars less. Cabinets under a kitchen sink are usually full, and a single housing that still covers fluoride, chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals and cyst-sized particles solves a real problem that the triple does not. Crystal Quest publishes the operating envelope properly, quarter-inch connection, 20 to 60 psi, 40 to 90 degrees F and a 0.3 to 0.5 GPM ceiling. The cost of the compact format is media volume, and the page gives no capacity or replacement interval for the combined cartridge at all. As everywhere in this catalogue, no certifier lists the system, so the fluoride performance is the manufacturer number and the buyer is trusting the brand rather than a test report.
