That candour matters because 25 gallons a day is a household drinking-water supply, not a cooking-and-drinking one. The ten-stage stack wraps carbon and particulate filtration around the membrane, and the whole thing sits on the counter with a diverter, which suits renters and anyone who does not want a tank under the sink. Optional arsenic, nitrate, fluoride and remineraliser cartridges are available for the same body.
