What they say
Mito Red LightMitoPRO 300X
About a dozen MitoPRO 300X owners posted in r/redlighttherapy between August 2024 and December 2025, mostly in beginner threads about settings rather than fault reports.
Owners call the build solid, one calls it heavier than expected for a tabletop panel, and one hangs it face-down from the steel cables in the box.
The complaint that comes up most is that neither the manual nor the app says which mode, brightness or distance to use, and one owner noted the app does not list 850 nm.
No stand, fan or electrical failure of the 300X was reported.
PlatinumLEDBIO 450
Three or four owners name the BIO 450 in r/redlighttherapy between August 2020 and February 2024; two of the later comments come from deleted accounts with near-identical wording, so they may be one person.
Most are content with it: one bought it in August 2020 as the cheaper older model and pointed to the 3-year warranty, and one says after a year of use that they love it and like choosing red, near-infrared or both, though they would buy the newer BIOMAX today.
One owner who has both a BIO 450 and a Mito panel prefers the Mito and avoids PlatinumLED after a bad experience with the company (January 2023).
Across the BIO series, a BIO 300 owner of four to five years says customer service gave no help with a question (March 2025).

What they say
Mito Red LightMitoPRO 300X
Light Therapy Insiders, which earns a commission on Mito sales and was sent the unit free, found all six peaks on a spectrometer and measured 60 mW/cm2 peak and 51.8 average at 6 inches, 41 dB of fan noise and low EMF (March 2025); its cons were door hanging at a fixed height and costly shipping outside the US.
Red Light Therapy Digest, an affiliate site, lists the Bluetooth setup and the lack of a handheld remote as drawbacks.
Best Red Light, also affiliate, reports a quiet fan and a touchscreen that is hard to read through goggles, but measured nothing.
PlatinumLEDBIO 450
No written hands-on test of the BIO 450 exists.
Light Therapy Insiders (Alex Fergus), a market-wide tester that received a BIO 300 free from PlatinumLED and earns PlatinumLED commission, called the 100-LED sibling a solid budget panel in February 2025 and measured 59 mW/cm2 on average and 86 at the peak at 6 inches.
It faulted the missing timer, dimming, stand and panel linking, output it called good but not groundbreaking, blue LEDs that cannot be switched off without the near-infrared, and more noise (53.5 dB) than the BIOMAX panels, and praised the price, the simple switches and the 3-year warranty.

Mito Red LightMitoPRO 300X
Alex Fergus of Light Therapy Insiders (February 2025, 25,108 views; affiliate link, unit supplied) repeats his measurements on camera, praises the pre-installed stand and the touchscreen, and faults a slow shut-off and the lack of a remote.
Josh JG (February 2025), an owner with no affiliate tie found, reports the stand loosening within weeks so that the panel tilts forward, and says Mito told him a refund on an opened unit could be reduced despite its no-risk trial wording.
Healthnews (June 2026, discount link) gives a favorable walkthrough but states 300 W against Mito's 125 W.
PlatinumLEDBIO 450
No video reviews the BIO 450.
Light Therapy Insiders (Alex Fergus), a market-wide tester whose descriptions carry a PlatinumLED affiliate link beside codes for Rojo, Block Blue Light, Hooga, Mito and BestQool, reviewed a BIO 300 that PlatinumLED supplied in December 2024 and called it effective and affordable but basic.
In a January 2025 comparison with the BIOMAX 300, with the same tie, he measured about 59 mW/cm2 against about 70 for the BIOMAX and advised buyers who can afford the gap to take the BIOMAX.

The Mito Red Light MitoPRO 300X reading covers the whole brand; no usable source for the PlatinumLED BIO 450.
What they say
Mito Red LightMitoPRO 300X
Mito sells only its two-wavelength 2.0 panels on Amazon US, through its own Mito Red Light Official store; no MitoPRO X, MitoPRO+ or MitoADAPT panel has a rated listing there, and a MitoPRO+ listing added in June 2026 has no ratings.
The MitoMIN 2.0 holds 4.5 from 170 ratings, split 78 percent five-star against 3 percent one-star, and Amazon tags its quality in 30 reviews, 29 of them positive.
The MitoMID 2.0 holds 4.6 from 61 and the MitoMEGA 2.0 4.9 from 19.
Those are simpler 660 and 850 nm panels, so the figures describe the brand rather than this series.
