Usability
Usability
At $59.99 the ED25TW sits between a filter pitcher and a real system, and its distinguishing feature is TDS reduction — most pitcher-class filters improve taste without touching dissolved solids. Dispensing is instant rather than gravity-fed, and the battery means it does not need to stay plugged in. What it does not have is any published NSF/ANSI certification, so the TDS claim rests on Waterdrop's own testing. As a desk, dorm or office unit it is sensible; as a household's primary filtration it is not, and the running cost per gallon is high compared with an under-sink cartridge.
- Reduces TDS, unusual in this price class
- Instant dispensing rather than gravity-fed
- Rechargeable, no permanent outlet needed
- 15-cup capacity
- Cheapest entry to Waterdrop countertop filtration
- No published NSF/ANSI certification
- High cost per gallon compared with under-sink filters
- Small capacity for a household
- Reservoir refilled by hand
- Battery is a long-term wear item
The ED25TW is a 15-cup rechargeable countertop dispenser with a five-stage cartridge aimed specifically at TDS reduction, dispensing instantly at the touch of a button rather than waiting for gravity to pull water through.
