Usability
Usability
The ED11L is Waterdrop's alkaline pitcher: six stages, 15 cups, rechargeable, and instant dispensing instead of the slow drip of a gravity pitcher. Alkaline filtration adds minerals back and raises pH, which is a taste preference more than a health claim — the evidence for alkaline water conferring benefits beyond taste is thin, and Waterdrop does not claim otherwise. There is no published NSF/ANSI certification. Judged as a $70 pitcher that dispenses quickly and makes water taste rounder, it does its job; judged as filtration, it is the lightest thing in this catalogue.
- Six-stage alkaline cartridge raises pH
- Instant dispensing rather than gravity-fed
- Rechargeable operation
- 15-cup capacity
- Inexpensive entry point
- No published NSF/ANSI certification
- Alkaline benefits are a taste preference rather than a proven health effect
- Small capacity
- High cost per gallon
- Battery is a wear item
The ED11L is a 15-cup rechargeable electric pitcher with a six-stage cartridge that raises pH, dispensing instantly rather than waiting for water to filter through by gravity.
