  • Measured: Scott Link Media read about 30 W at idle (August 2026)
  • Power saving: with no AC input, output wakes only for loads over 15 W
  • Conflict: the page adds 10 ms or less in UPS mode; the manual gives under 20 ms
  • Solar: 60 to 150 V tracking, 150 V maximum, 5,000 W and 120 A maximum
  • Outlets: three AC sockets of up to 1,000 W each plus AC output terminals
  • Claim: none on page
  • CEC: not listed
  • Maker: unnamed OEM
  • Older page: converters and other accessories 2 years, full warranty
  • List: $799.99 at vatrerpower.com, listed as a pre-order

Rack-Mount 5 kW, capped at 150 V Solar

  • What it is: a 5,000 W rack-mount all-in-one inverter with MPPT and AC charging for 48 V server-rack banks
  • The trade-off: compact rack mounting and a strong solar charger, but a 150 V solar limit and 120 V output only
  • Not checked: Vatrer publishes no surge rating, weight or no-load draw
  • Look elsewhere for: 240 V loads, long high-voltage strings or stacked units

Strengths

  • Invertersolar and AC charging in one box
  • Mounts in a rack beside server-rack batteries
  • Bluetooth monitoring
  • Reads status from connected batteries
  • Low idle draw in a tester's measurement

Drawbacks

  • Low maximum solar voltage limits string length
  • No 240 V output or stated parallel
  • No surge rating or weight published
  • Short warranty for an inverter
  • Listed as a pre-order

  • Overall: a handful of Reddit threads, mostly reporting Vatrer batteries working as described
  • Cabin: an r/solar owner running two 12V 100Ah units for ten months reported balanced cells and no capacity loss he could detect (about March 2026)
  • Caveats: the same owner found the app dated, with disconnects at range, and the documentation in the box sparse (about March 2026)
  • Outdoor use: in an r/SolarDIY thread on the wall battery, a reply said it is an indoor battery despite its IP65 rating, and another pointed to Will Prowse's mostly positive tests (July 2025)
  • Track record: an r/SolarDIY reply called Vatrer generally good batteries but said the record depends on the model (September 2026)

  • Scott Link Media: tested the 5000W on a Vatrer 48 V rack battery and called it the weirdest inverter he has tested, and one he likes (August 2026, about 1,480 views)
  • Results: he measured about 30 W of idle draw, pulled at least 5,400 W, and read 109 V output where he would prefer 120 V
  • Scalability: what he liked most was the rack design's room to grow with more Vatrer 48 V batteries

The Vatrer 48V 5000W Solar Inverter (store SKU D-5000W-NBQ) is a 19-inch rack-mount all-in-one unit that combines a 5,000 W pure sine wave inverter, an MPPT solar charge controller and an AC battery charger for a 48 V battery bank.

It puts out 110 V AC at 60 Hz, and Vatrer's manual and spec table rate its efficiency above 98 percent without a no-load figure. The manual says that with no AC input the output switches on only for loads above 15 W, checking every 25 seconds.

Solar input takes up to 5,000 W and 150 V, with a 60 to 150 V MPPT range, a 60 to 105 V optimal range and up to 120 A of charging. The AC charger gives up to 50 A from a 110 V input, and the charging voltage is 58.4 V.

The manual gives a transfer under 20 ms in inverter mode; the product page adds 10 ms or less in UPS mode. Working modes include utility first and solar first, and charging modes include solar only.

It has a touch display showing the status of connected batteries, Bluetooth per the product page, three AC sockets of up to 1,000 W each and AC output terminals. It measures 482 x 465 x 178 mm (18.98 x 18.31 x 7.01 in), runs from 14 to 122°F at 45 dB or less, and Vatrer publishes no weight or surge rating.

Vatrer lists it as a pre-order.
