The EG4 6000XP, model EG4-6000XP on its spec sheet and certificate (IV-6000-XP-IN-* on EG4's product page), is a 48 V all-in-one off-grid inverter charger rated 6,000 W continuous at 120/240 V split phase from one unit (25 A at 240 V), with a surge of 12,000 W for about 3.5 seconds or 11,000 W for about 5 seconds, a 95 A locked-rotor rating and a switching time under 15 ms for one unit or under 30 ms in parallel. The spec sheet rates battery charging and discharging efficiency at 93% and standby draw at about 50 W on battery, under 30 W on PV and under 50 W on AC; it publishes no no-load draw while inverting. Solar input is two MPPT trackers of 17 A each, a 100-480 VDC input range (500 V absolute maximum by the manual), a 120-385 VDC MPPT range and 8,000 W utilized (4,000 W per tracker), with 10,000 W the recommended maximum array. AC input is 120/240 V with L1, L2 and neutral, 9,000 W maximum and a 50 A grid or generator bypass, with a dedicated generator input. It runs a 48 V lead-acid or lithium battery (46.4-60 V lithium, over 200 Ah recommended) at up to 140 A discharge and 125 A charge (115 A from AC, 125 A from PV), with RS485, CAN and Wi-Fi communication, closed-loop with EG4 and listed batteries, and an LCD with LED indicators. Up to 16 units run in parallel. It measures 18 x 25.5 x 5.25 in (457 x 648 x 132 mm), weighs 52.9 lb (24 kg), runs from 32 to 113 °F at under 58 dB, and is IP20 for indoor installation. It ships with a plug-in Wi-Fi dongle for the EG4 Monitor app and Monitor Center. EG4 sells it through its sister company Signature Solar.
