5.9 kWh heated in one case, capped at 300 A

  • What it is: a 12.8 V, 460 Ah heated LiFePO4 battery with Bluetooth for RV and van house banks
  • The trade-off: big capacity and cold charging in one case, but 300 A caps continuous draw well under 1C
  • In the box: the battery, two M8 terminal bolts, two caps and a manual
  • Not checked: the depth of discharge and end point behind the cycle rating
  • Look elsewhere for: closed-loop inverter communication or more than 300 A continuous

Strengths

  • Large capacity in one battery
  • Built-in heater for cold charging
  • Bluetooth app monitoring built in
  • Sealed metal case
  • Series and parallel expansion

Drawbacks

  • Low continuous current for its capacity
  • No CAN or RS485 closed-loop port
  • Heavy to lift into place
  • Cycle rating states no depth or end point
  • Full warranty term needs an order review
  • Depreciation charged after year two
