Usability
The Elite is the system the rest of SoftPro's range is measured against, and the independent data supports the efficiency claim. WaterFilterGuru installed one on a 120 ppm private well and measured better than 99 percent calcium and magnesium reduction with a corresponding rise in sodium, which is what working cation exchange looks like. Its strongest attribute is that efficiency, since upflow regeneration, precision brining and backwash skipping genuinely cut salt and water against a conventional downflow softener. Its weakest is the certification story: the product page carries an NSF / WQA / ANSI badge, no SoftPro-branded model appears in NSF's drinking water treatment unit database, and the listings that do exist belong to Canature Water Group and cover valves, tanks and resin as components rather than this system as a whole. The buyer is trading a verified performance listing for a price several hundred dollars below the certified competition and a warranty that is better than most of it. SoftPro publishes no rated service flow rate at any capacity, which on a 1 inch system is an odd omission.

The Elite Smart HE is SoftPro's flagship city softener, sold in 32,000, 40,000, 48,000 and 64,000 grain capacities on 1 inch plumbing ports. It regenerates upflow on demand with precision brining and skips the backwash cycle on up to four regenerations in five. Gold and Gold+ packages on the same page add a whole-house carbon filter and a bone char fluoride filter respectively, at roughly $1,080 and $1,240 over the softener-only price recorded here.
