Usability
This is the softener a well household buys when hardness is the main problem and iron is a secondary one. Its strongest attribute is that fine mesh resin comes as standard rather than as a paid upgrade, which is not true across this category. Its weakest is a warranty asymmetry: SoftPro warrants resin for ten years in its city softeners and, according to WaterFilterGuru's review of the Elite line, not at all in its well systems, and resin is precisely the component well water attacks. The buyer is trading certification and published flow data for price and a lifetime tank warranty. Iron above roughly 3 ppm needs the Iron Master ahead of it, which SoftPro sells on this same page and which roughly doubles the outlay.

The ECO Well is the same upflow valve and tank platform as the ECO City, supplied with fine mesh softening resin for wells carrying iron. It sells in 32,000, 48,000 and 64,000 grain capacities, and can be bundled at checkout with SoftPro's air-injection iron filter sized to a 6 to 7, 8 to 10 or 11-plus GPM well pump. The softener-only price is the one recorded here; the bundled iron filter configurations run between $2,191 and $2,977.
