A backwashing catalytic carbon filter is the correct answer for a well that tastes or smells of chemistry rather than iron, and Centaur is a serious media choice for chloramine specifically. Its strongest attribute is the valve, since 1 inch ports, a real bypass and a capacitor backup put it ahead of the cartridge-housing filters sold at this price.
