Standard 12 V panel, low module efficiency

  • What it is: a 200 W, 12 V N-type rigid panel of 30 large cells for RV, cabin and boat systems
  • The trade-off: a plain 12 V match with a long output guarantee, but low efficiency for its area
  • Warranty: Rich Solar's own pages give three different product terms; the shortest is scored
  • Look elsewhere for: more watts per square foot or shade tolerance from a split-cell layout

Strengths

  • Long power-output guarantee
  • Sealed junction box and connectors
  • Simple 12 V match for one panel
  • All-black version at the same price

Drawbacks

  • Module efficiency computes below the printed figure
  • Warranty terms differ across Rich Solar's own pages
  • No split-cell layout or station adapters
  • Store page and datasheet disagree on system voltage
