Reddit owners split on Renogy's LiFePO4 batteries. An r/vandwellers full-timer reports three 100 Ah smart lithium batteries at 96 percent capacity after 5 years, and an r/overlanding owner is in year four with a 100 Ah running a fridge. Against that, an r/SolarDIY installer had two batteries' BMSs fail and the warranty claim denied despite capacity-test videos (2023), another r/SolarDIY owner's battery would not hold charge past 4 hours (2026), and an r/vandwellers owner says theirs had not held up after 3 years.

GoogleBrand-level5.0 out of 10

DIY Solar Forum owners report Renogy batteries failing early and Renogy replacing most of them. In a 2022 teardown thread a 50 Ah pack stopped accepting charge after about 20 cycles, and a 2025 reply describes two 50 Ah packs falling to about 30 Ah before Renogy replaced both with a 100 Ah Mini. One of four 200 Ah Bluetooth batteries arrived with a 0.4 V cell deviation and was replaced (2023), and a 48 V 50 Ah owner had one of eight packs fail on a bad cell at two years, replaced under warranty after what he called a painful service process (2025).

The channel reported the battery would not take a charge below freezing until its heater had warmed it. No tester without a Renogy tie was found on the Pro range.
