Renogy is the brand of RNG International, Inc., of Ontario, California, which Dr. Yi Li founded in 2010.
It sells direct from renogy.com and its Amazon and eBay brand stores, and through Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, Camping World and Walmart's marketplace.
The Renogy RNG-INVT-2000-12V-P2 is a 12 V pure sine wave inverter rated 2,000 W continuous and 4,000 W for one second, with 115 V AC 60 Hz output by Renogy's manual (the product page says 120 V), under 3 percent total harmonic distortion on a linear load, inverter efficiency above 90 percent and above 85 percent at full load. It runs from 10 V to 16 V DC, draws under 2 A with no load, and its manual lists power consumption under 24 W. The AC side has three outlets good for up to 15 A, a hardwire terminal block for a sub-panel, an integrated GFCI and a 5 V 2.1 A USB port; the DC side takes M8 terminals, and Renogy recommends a 250 A battery fuse. It measures 17.8 x 8.6 x 4.0 in and weighs 11.7 lb, with thermally controlled fans and an operating range of -4 °F to 104 °F by the manual. The box holds two 1/0 AWG 3 ft battery cables, the RMS-P2 wired remote with a 16.4 ft (5 m) RJ11 cable and the manual. Renogy states that no Bluetooth module is compatible with it, and its warranty document lists it under a 1-year material and workmanship warranty. Renogy also sells it with a 200Ah AGM battery ($649.99) and with its DCC50S DC-DC charger ($593.99).
