Usability

5.2 out of 10

It stores 1,280 Wh, the typical size for a 12 V battery, so it scores 5 on capacity.

At 22.71 lb on LiTime's specifications it holds 56.4 Wh per pound, so it scores 6 on efficiency.

LiTime rates its BMS at 100 A continuous, 1.0C on 100 Ah, with a 500 A surge for 1 second, so it scores 5 on operating range.

LiTime rates it for 4,000 cycles at 100 percent depth of discharge, scored ahead of its 6,000 at 80 percent and 15,000 at 60 percent, and one rung down because neither the spec table nor the manual publishes the remaining capacity at end of life, so it scores 6 on lifespan.

It has self-heating, built-in Bluetooth, an IP65 case and 4S4P expansion but no CAN or RS485 port, so it scores 8 on features.

Intertek lists LiTime's Group 24 and Group 24 BT batteries to UL 1973 but names no self-heating model, and no certifier directory lists this one, so it scores 2 on verification.

LiTime's warranty policy gives its 12 V batteries a 5-year material and workmanship warranty for the original purchaser, with no proration of the warranty itself, so it scores 6 on warranty and support.

Reddit owners split on LiTime and Ampere Time 12 V batteries. In an r/vandwellers thread an owner calls his Ampere Time 100Ah fantastic (July 2024), and replies in an r/SolarDIY thread on 24 V banks say LiTime batteries have been torn down many times and the build quality is excellent (March 2026). Against that, an r/boating owner's 100Ah lost its BMS after 10 cycles and LiTime, having agreed it was defective, stopped answering about the return (October 2025), and an r/OffGrid owner of 16 Ampere Time batteries reports BMS failures at 1.5 years and a support team that blamed his charging and wiring (January 2024).
