More LEDs In The Same Frame, Still Unmeasured

The Apex Elite 2160 is a half-body panel from a brand best known for hair helmets, launched in 2026 and backed by a 10-year warranty, the longest in this category so far. iRestore states more than 200 mW/cm2 at 6 inches without naming the instrument, no independent test has measured it, and it publishes no power draw, emitting area, cooling or housing material. iRestore calls the panels 510(k) exempt; FDA's databases hold no clearance or device listing for them, and the ETL certification it states carries no listing number, so verification scores at the floor. It fits 432 LEDs into the same 36 x 12 in housing as the 1500 and lets each wavelength be switched on its own. No owner has reviewed either Apex yet; the Amazon listing they share holds 3 ratings. At $2,199 it is $900 more than the Pro 1500; stands cost $159 to $899 more.

PROS
  • 10-year warranty
  • Eight published peaks, 590 to 1060 nm
  • Door hook, hanging hardware, remote and goggles included
  • 60-day return window with no restocking fee
  • Each wavelength switches on its own
CONS
  • Stated output of more than 200 mW/cm2 at 6 in, never measured
  • No power draw, cooling or housing material published
  • No 510(k); ETL claim has no listing number
  • Floor stands sold separately, $159 to $899
  • $900 more than the Apex Pro 1500 in the same 36 x 12 in housing

The Apex Elite 2160 is a half-body panel, 36 x 12 x 3 in and 31 lb, with 432 single-chip 5 W LEDs under 30-degree lenses across eight peaks: 590, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850, 940 and 1060 nm. It runs six presets or a custom mode, 1 to 30 minutes, with dimming and 0 to 40 Hz pulsing, from a touchscreen, a magnetic remote or an app. A door hook, hanging hardware and goggles are included; floor, universal and motorised stands are sold separately from $159. iRestore states more than 200 mW/cm2 at 6 in.

iRestore's Trustpilot profile for irestorelaser.com reads 3.7 from 1,364 reviews, which the company invites, and the 699 of the past twelve months split 59 percent five-star against 25 percent one-star. Critics there and on Reddit describe a 12-month money-back guarantee on the hair helmets that refunds the price less a 25 percent service fee and return shipping. The maker, Freedom Laser Therapy Inc of Irvine, California, is not BBB accredited and is rated F, with 30 complaints closed in three years and eight left unanswered. Lookalike domains such as irestore-helmet.com, which calls itself the official website, are not the company's store. No US retailer shows reviews of the Apex panels, and no independent YouTube channel has reviewed either one since their 2026 launch.
