The Full Body Blanket, formerly sold as the Pod XL, is a zip-up sleeve with 2,680 triple-chip beads (1,400 behind, 1,280 in front), two 850 nm chips and one 660 nm in each, five brightness steps, 10 or 40 Hz pulsing and a 10 to 25-minute timer that shuts it off at 25, at $1,399. Hooga gives its size as 82 x 32 x 12 in in the manual and 71 x 32 in in its own image captions, and its irradiance as 155 mW/cm2 in the manual, 70 on an earlier page and nothing on the current one; no reading of this model has been published, so output is not scored. Hooga calls it a wellness device rather than an FDA-cleared one, and it must be used on a hard, flat surface. Its Amazon file reads 4.2 from 24, 71 percent five-star against 13 percent one-star, and owners report blocks of LEDs going dark, mostly replaced free. The warranty is 2 years.

- Output never independently measured; Hooga gives 155 and 70 mW/cm2

- Hard flat surface only, not a bed or sofa
- Blocks of LEDs going dark, per several owners
- Too short for a tall user, per one owner
- No FDA clearance or safety listing
The Hooga Red Light Therapy Full Body Blanket, formerly sold as the Pod XL, is a flexible sleeve that zips closed around a person lying down or opens flat, with 2,680 triple-chip LED beads, 1,400 in the back panel and 1,280 in the front, each carrying two 850 nm chips and one 660 nm chip. The manual gives 82 x 32 x 12 in and 17.33 lb, while Hooga's own image captions give 71 x 32 in, or 88 in wide unzipped. Hooga gives 288 W of power and 155 mW/cm2 in the manual, with no distance; an earlier page gave 70 at the surface, and the current page gives none. The controller sets red, near-infrared or both, brightness from 20 to 100 percent, steady or 10 or 40 Hz pulsing and a 10, 15, 20 or 25-minute timer, shuts off at 25 minutes and needs 10 minutes between sessions. The $1,399 price includes the controller, power adapter and an eye mask; Hooga says to use it only on a hard, flat surface.
