Hooga's Biggest Dual-Chip Panel Ships Without a Stand

The PRO4500 is Hooga's largest dual-chip panel, a 961 sq in face with 900 LEDs at 660 and 850 nm and a 5, 10 or 15-minute timer, at $2,999. The box holds the panel, cords and goggles; the vertical or horizontal stand it is built for costs $299 more, and Hooga says it must be bought. Hooga states 168 mW/cm2 at 6 in and an 82 x 37 in treatment area; no tester has published a spectrometer reading of this panel, so output is not scored, and Hooga's certifications page cites an affiliate reviewer's 192 at 6 in as consistent with that spec. It is listed with the FDA under Shenzhen Sungrow LED Technology's exempt ILY registration; there is no 510(k), and the finished panel has no UL or ETL listing. Amazon US does not carry it. Reviewers who earn on Hooga sales praise the coverage and fault the missing dimmer, and the warranty is 3 years.

The Hooga PRO4500 is the largest panel in Hooga's dual-chip PRO line: 61.2 x 15.7 x 3.1 in and about 51 lb, with 900 dual-chip 5 W LEDs at 660 and 850 nm, several fans, separate red and near-infrared control and a 5, 10 or 15-minute timer. Hooga rates it at 4,500 W of LED class and 1,200 W of power consumption, with 192 mW/cm2 at 3 in and 168 at 6 in and an 82 x 37 in treatment area at 6 in, and says the PRO line's drivers, cords and wiring are UL listed components. The manual suggests 2 to 3 minutes at 18 in for surface use and 6 to 10 minutes at 6 to 12 in. The $2,999 price covers the panel, a US cord, a series-linking cord and goggles; Hooga says a stand must be bought, and its vertical and horizontal stands are $299 each. Dealers list it at $3,099.

Three r/redlighttherapy threads name the PRO4500, and all three come from shoppers rather than owners. In March 2023 a shopper weighed it against an Infraredi and a Lightpath panel and asked whether 900 LEDs was overkill for home use. In April 2024 a shopper called it extremely expensive but was drawn by free shipping, tax included in the price, zero-interest financing and the 60-day no-questions return; the one commenter who had bought a Hooga did not say which model. In November 2025 a buyer asked whether the floor stand was needed or whether leaning the panel on a wall would block its rear fans, and the only reply pointed to TikTok videos of the ULTRA 4500. No owner has reported on its build, fan noise, heat or reliability.

Two written reviews name the PRO4500, and neither measured it. Marco Gentile (June 2026), whose links carry a Hooga affiliate redirect with 12% off applied automatically, said he used the panel and rated it 3.2 out of 5: he praised full-body coverage, the modular linking and the 3-year warranty with 60-day returns, and faulted the lack of a dimmer and the two mobile stands sold separately at about $300 each. Light Therapy Insiders (April 2026), which earns commission from Hooga and from rival brands whose codes sit in the same article, named the Pro 4500 its best PRO-series panel, a "go big once" choice for coverage and modular expansion at about $3,000.

The PRO-series coverage on YouTube comes from Alex Fergus, whose videos carry a Hooga 10%-off link alongside codes for Rouge, PlatinumLED and Mito. His April 2026 comparison (about 5,500 views, labelled as including paid promotion) named the Pro 4500 his top PRO pick for coverage without testing it, measured the Pro 300 at about 50 mW/cm2 on a spectrometer, put its cost at about $10 per watt, and said the PRO line adds flicker-free drivers and modular linking rather than more power than the HG line. His May 2023 PRO1500 review (about 11,000 views) called the output very high for the price but the panel basic, with only two wavelengths. His July 2026 brand review (about 4,700 views, also labelled paid promotion) faulted Hooga for missing third-party test data.

The nearest sibling, the PRO1500 sold by Hooga Health, reads 4.3 stars from 21 ratings, and the split is two-ended: 73 percent five-star and 14 percent four-star against 13 percent one-star, about three ratings, with nothing at two or three stars. The smaller PRO300 reads 4.6 from 772 and the PRO750 4.3 from 18. Amazon shows no review summary or aspect tags for a file that small.

Hooga is the trading name of Commerce Trading Group, LLC of New Berlin, Wisconsin, which sells direct from hoogahealth.com and through its own Amazon store; no major US retailer carries a Hooga device, so the retailer pool is empty at every level. Its Trustpilot profile reads 4.5 from 75 reviews, 80 percent five-star against 12 percent one-star. Hooga claimed the profile in January 2026 and has invited reviews since: seven of the 14 reviews written before the claim are one-star, against two of the 58 written since, and Hooga has answered every negative review. The recurring complaints there are return shipping charged to the buyer even on faulty units, pre-orders charged weeks before shipping, and support that answers first with an AI agent. The BBB rates Hooga B+ without accreditation, on a file opened in April 2026 with one complaint, resolved, and no Hooga device has been recalled.
