The BougeRV 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controller (SKU ISE119) is a 40 A MPPT controller for 12, 24, 36 or 48 V battery banks, set up on its LCD and buttons or through the ChargePro 2.0 app over Bluetooth with a 15 ft range.
Its manual says the array's open-circuit voltage must not exceed 150 V, and the product page lists the maximum as under 150 V. It takes up to 600 W of solar at 12 V, 1,200 W at 24 V, 1,800 W at 36 V and 2,400 W at 48 V.
The product page claims over 99 percent tracking and over 98 percent conversion efficiency, and its summary line says up to 99 percent.
It charges flooded, gel, sealed, AGM and lithium batteries; lead-acid voltage is detected automatically, while the lithium and user profiles and a lithium bank's system voltage are set by hand in the app. A 6.5 ft temperature sensor for lead-acid compensation comes with it.
It measures 8.6 x 5.9 x 2.6 in (218 x 150 x 65 mm in the manual) with an 8.1 x 2.4 in mounting pattern, is rated IP34 and works from −31 to 113°F at up to 3,000 m. The manual gives 2.1 kg (4.6 lb), against 0.64 lb on the product page, and shows a magnetic cover over the terminals.
