This is the Fortitude Pro that actually fits a normal family home: 15 GPM will carry three to four bathrooms without a pressure complaint, and a million gallons of media is six years of not thinking about it. Aquasure's stated reduction figures of 95 percent chlorine, 80 to 95 percent chloramine, 80 percent iron and 80 percent heavy metals are the most specific numbers the brand publishes anywhere, though they come from support correspondence rather than a laboratory report. The catalytic behaviour on chloramine is the reason to choose this over a plain carbon tank, and it is the specification most competitors at this price do not match. Against that, the system requires a manual backwash and rinse every seven to ten days, and Aquasure states outright that the assembled system has never been NSF certified and that it therefore cannot supply a spec sheet. At $799.99 it is priced against certified whole-house systems costing twice as much, and the gap is exactly the certification. It is also the best-rated thing Aquasure sells at Home Depot, on a small but real pool.
- 15 GPM rated flow, enough for a three to four bathroom household
- A million gallons or six years of GAC and KDF55 media before replacement
- Aquasure quotes 95 percent chlorine and 80 to 95 percent chloramine reduction, the brand's most specific published figures
- KDF85 media version available under a separate SKU for sulphur odour
- Home Depot rates it 4.9 of 5, higher than any other Aquasure product on that site
- Aquasure confirms the assembled system holds no NSF certification and that no spec sheet exists
- Manual backwash and rinse required every seven to ten days, which consumes water
- Reduction figures come from support correspondence rather than a published test report
- Spec sheet marks iron and TDS reduction as No despite the support quote citing 80 percent iron
- The retailer pool behind that 4.9 is only 16 reviews deep
- No published tank dimensions
The Aquasure Fortitude Pro 1,000,000 gallon system is the mid-size Fortitude Pro backwashing tank, sized by the manufacturer for three to four bathrooms and up to six people. It runs a GAC and KDF55 mixed media bed rated for 1,000,000 gallons or six years at a rated service flow of 15 GPM. Aquasure pairs it with the 48,000 grain Harmony softener where hardness also needs treating, and sells a KDF85 media version under AS-FP1000P.
