Nine GPM Is The Real Limit Here

The 9 GPM rating is the specification that should decide this purchase, and it is the reason the 600,000 gallon tank suits a one to two bathroom home and nothing larger. Within that envelope the media does what carbon and KDF55 do well: Aquasure's support staff quote 95 percent chlorine, 80 to 95 percent chloramine and 80 percent heavy metals, figures given in correspondence rather than from a test report. Six years of media life against one tank is a genuinely low cost of ownership, and unlike the cartridge Fortitude systems there is no six-month replacement to budget for. The system requires a manual backwash and rinse every seven to ten days, which is real maintenance that the marketing does not foreground. Aquasure states directly that the Fortitude Pro is built from NSF certified components but that the system itself has never gone through NSF certification and that no spec sheet exists as a result. That is an unusually candid answer and it is also the reason the certification score here is what it is.

PROS

Six years or 600,000 gallons of media before the tank needs attention
KDF85 upgrade available under a separate SKU for hydrogen sulphide odour
Aquasure quotes 95 percent chlorine and 80 to 95 percent chloramine reduction
Both 3/4 inch and 1 inch NPT connections available
The Fortitude Pro tanks are the best-rated Aquasure hardware at Home Depot, above the softeners

CONS

9 GPM rated flow is genuinely limiting: this tank cannot serve more than two bathrooms
Requires a manual backwash and rinse every seven to ten days
Aquasure confirms the system holds no NSF certification and that no spec sheet exists
Reduction percentages come from support correspondence, not from a published test report
No published tank dimensions
Backwashing consumes water and requires a drain line

The Aquasure Fortitude Pro 600,000 gallon system is the smallest of the three Fortitude Pro backwashing tanks, sized by the manufacturer for one to three people and one to two bathrooms. It uses a GAC and KDF55 mixed media bed rated for 600,000 gallons or six years, with a rated service flow of 9 GPM. A KDF85 media upgrade is sold under AS-FP600P for fifty dollars more and is what Aquasure recommends for hydrogen sulphide odour.

Reddit ScoreBrand-level5.0

Aquasure comes up regularly in r/WaterTreatment, mostly on the softeners. Owners of the whole-house filtration report pressure drops when the pre-filter is not changed on schedule, and one long-form owner account describes running the weekly backwash cycle without complaint. Nothing specific to the 600,000 gallon tank exists.

Google ScoreBrand-level6.0

Modernize and Quality Water Lab cover Aquasure through the Harmony softeners. Dominick Plumbing notes the absence of NSF certification across the brand. No third-party review of the Fortitude Pro tanks exists.

YouTube ScoreProduct-line7.0

NKP Home Improvement's step-by-step install at roughly 94,000 views fits a Fortitude Pro pre-filter and carbon tank alongside a 64,000 grain Harmony, and Tommy Runkel's two-year follow-up at 2,600 views covers the Fortitude V2 pre-filter on the same chassis. A dedicated Fortitude V2 Triple Purpose review also exists and carries an Amazon affiliate tag, which is disclosed rather than disqualifying. That is the Fortitude Pro on camera rather than adjacent to the subject, which is what moves this row off brand scope. Neither video names a capacity. Brand-level coverage is the Harmony softeners: DIY Homestead Projects at roughly 115,000 views, NKP Home Improvement at roughly 94,000, geminidrums at 15,000 on the fine mesh and IrixGuy's two-year owner review at 13,000.

Amazon ScoreBrand-level5.0

The Fortitude Pro tank listing carries no featured offer and no customer-review figure, so there is no product or line pool for the media tanks. Amazon publishes a brand-insights panel for Aquasure - 4.5 from 5,000-plus customer ratings with 10,000-plus orders in the trailing three months - and that is the brand-scope figure this row falls back to. That storefront is softener-dominated, and a point-of-entry media tank is the furthest hardware in the catalogue from what those ratings were collected on.

User Review ScoreProduct-line9.0

Home Depot holds native pools on the two larger Fortitude Pro tanks: 4.9 of 5 from 16 reviews on the million-gallon AS-FP1000 and 4.6 from 21 on the 1.5 million-gallon AS-FP1500. Both counts are small but above the ten-review floor, and both sit above the 4.5 the Harmony softeners hold at the same retailer, which makes the Fortitude Pro the best-reviewed hardware Aquasure sells there. This 600,000 gallon tank is listed at Home Depot but returned no rating of its own, so the figure describes the line. The 106 reviews shown on Aquasure's own product page run through Judge.me on aquasureusa.com and are the manufacturer's widget, so they are not scored.

Social Score

Product-line and brand-level. Home Depot carries native Aquasure pools on the Fortitude Pro tanks, with verified-purchase entries and Aquasure replying under its own support address. This 600,000 gallon tank is listed at Home Depot but returned no rating, so the retailer figure is its two larger siblings, which share the media, the control arrangement and the backwashing cycle, recorded at product-line scope. Independent editorial and video coverage of Aquasure remains dominated by the Harmony softeners, so those pools are brand-level. The rating shown on aquasureusa.com runs through Judge.me on Aquasure's own site and is the manufacturer's widget, so it is not scored.
