Usability
The wand is the reason to buy this rather than the filtration, which is identical to the $119.99 filter-only version. Worth it if you rinse a shower down, wash a dog or need to sit, and not otherwise. White saves $10 over chrome for the same hardware. Aquasana's own page rates the chrome 4.2 against 5.0 for the fixed-head version, which is the one place its self-reported numbers look like they might mean something.

Filtration is the same across the range: independently tested to NSF/ANSI Standard 177 to reduce over 90% of chlorine for 10,000 gallons or up to six months, with coconut shell carbon and patented copper-zinc KDF media certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61.
The wand attaches to the same standard 1/2 inch shower connection and the whole system installs without a plumber.
