Usability
This is the answer for renters and anyone who will not drill a sink, and the powered dispensing genuinely solves the thing people hate about pitcher filters. What it costs is $399.99 for 300 gallons per filter — the worst capacity in the range against the $249.99 Direct Connect's 784 — plus counter space and a power outlet. If you can plumb anything at all, the under sink systems are better value; if you cannot, this is the only Claryum option that works.

The Clean Water Machine is Aquasana's only countertop system and the only product in the range that needs no plumbing at all. It is a powered dispenser: fill the tank, plug it in, press the button. A pump pushes water through the Claryum cartridge rather than letting gravity trickle it through, which is why it fills a glass in seconds where a pitcher takes minutes.
Claryum filtration here is the same technology as the under sink line, tested and certified to reduce up to 97% of chlorine, 99% of lead, asbestos and microplastics, 99.99% of cysts and 95% of PFOA and PFOS, along with chloramines, mercury, herbicides, pesticides, VOCs and pharmaceuticals.
Capacity is 300 gallons or about six months on a single filter, the shortest in the Aquasana range. The unit weighs 6.2 lb, needs a power outlet, and has a Quick Press function that dispenses 64 ounces without holding the button.
