Usability
The Max Flow earns its premium only on household size. Contaminant performance is identical to the standard Rhino and so is the certification picture, but the 97% chlorine claim is verified at 14 GPM rather than 7, which matters in a house running several fixtures at once. In a two-bathroom home it is $800 of headroom you will not use.

The Rhino Max Flow is the large-home version of Aquasana's whole house filter. It uses the same activated carbon and copper-zinc KDF media as the standard Rhino in a taller tank, and an improved divider valve raises rated flow from 7.0 GPM to 14.0 GPM with a 14.5 GPM peak.
The flow figure is the point of the product. Aquasana's NSF/ANSI Standard 42 testing for this model was performed at 14 GPM rather than 7, so the 97% chlorine reduction claim holds at the higher throughput rather than degrading with it. Capacity is unchanged at 1,000,000 gallons or up to 10 years, and the tank carries the same WQA certification to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61.
Aquasana sizes this system for homes with up to 6 bathrooms and up to 8 occupants. Below that, the standard Rhino delivers the same filtration for $800 less.
