Usability
The RCC7D is the RCC7 platform with a deionization resin stage bolted on the end, and it does exactly what it claims: near-zero TDS water, purer than distilled, ideal for reef tanks, labs and spot-free rinsing. The critical detail buyers miss on big-box listings is that iSpring's own specification says the water is not recommended for drinking. Judge it as specialist equipment, not as a kitchen RO system, and the running cost makes sense; judge it as a drinking system and it is the wrong purchase at any price.

The iSpring RCC7D is a six-stage under-sink system that adds a deionization resin filter to the standard five-stage RCC7 path. Water passes through a PP sediment filter, a carbon KDF granular activated carbon filter, a carbon block filter, the 0.0001-micron RO membrane, a fine GAC polishing filter, and finally the DI resin stage, which strips the remaining ions to produce water at zero or near-zero TDS.
Production is 75 gallons per day into a T32M 3.2-gallon pressurized tank, at up to a 1:2 pure-to-waste ratio. Feed tolerances are 45 to 70 psi, 40 to 100F, and a maximum 750 ppm TDS. The tank can be swapped for 5.5, 11, 20 or 40-gallon sizes for higher-volume use.
This is not a drinking water system. iSpring states plainly that water from the RCC7D is not recommended for drinking, because water stripped of all minerals tastes flat and unpleasant to most people. It is built for reef tanks and aquariums, laboratories, microelectronics, dental and medical facilities, glassware washing, and spot-free rinsing of glass and vehicles.
