The Chubby is the entry point to the whole Waterdrop catalogue at $27.49, and the honest framing is that it is a pitcher: activated carbon fibre against taste, odour, chlorine and a stated thirty-plus contaminants, with no TDS reduction and gravity rather than pressure doing the work. The styling is the reason most people pick it over a supermarket equivalent. It suits someone testing whether filtered water is worth bothering with, or a fridge-door second filter alongside a real system — it is not a substitute for one.
- Cheapest product in the range at $27.49
- Activated carbon fibre cartridge rated against 30+ contaminants
- 15-cup capacity
- Distinctive retro design with wooden handle
- No installation or power required
- No TDS reduction
- Gravity filtration is slow
- Cartridge life is short relative to a system
- No published NSF/ANSI certification
- Filtration depth well below any RO unit
The Chubby is Waterdrop's 15-cup gravity pitcher, using an activated carbon fibre cartridge rated against more than thirty contaminants. Retro styling with a wooden handle, available in white and blue.
