Mid-Drive climber, but the priciest Discover

  • What it is: a mid-drive step-through commuter with full equipment
  • The trade-off: strong, natural climbing, but heavy and the dearest Discover
  • Not checked: an independent test of this model
  • Look elsewhere for: a light bike or low drivetrain upkeep

Strengths

  • Natural pedal feel on climbs
  • Wide gear range for hills
  • Arrives with rack and fenders fitted
  • Phone tracking on both platforms

Drawbacks

  • Heavy to lift onto a car rack
  • Chain and cassette wear faster
  • Stated weight leaves out fenders and pedals
