Usability
Nothing else SpringWell sells addresses microbiological safety, which makes this the necessary final stage on any well that tests positive for coliform. It is compact, covers up to seven bathrooms at 15 GPM and costs a fraction of the tank systems. The constraint is water clarity: hardness under 7 GPG, iron under 0.3 ppm and tannins under 0.1 ppm, or the light cannot reach the organisms. It is a finishing stage, not a first line of defence.

The SpringWell UV system uses the UVC5-15 BlackComb ultraviolet chamber, rated at 30 mJ/cm2, to inactivate bacteria, viruses and cysts, which SpringWell rates at 99.9 percent. UV is the only technology here that addresses microbiological safety; carbon, air injection and ion exchange do nothing about it.
The unit is compact at 4 inches by 20 inches, covers one to seven bathrooms at 15 GPM, and runs on a 1 inch MNPT connection across a wide 10 to 150 psi window. The lamp is replaced every 365 days.
UV has prerequisites that matter. The water must arrive clear: hardness below 7 GPG, iron below 0.3 ppm, tannins below 0.1 ppm and low turbidity. Anything cloudy shadows the organisms from the light. That means UV goes last, after filtration and softening, not as a standalone answer for raw well water.
