Usability
The Sport Berkey does one useful thing the rest of the range cannot: filter a mouthful of questionable water on the spot with no setup. What it does not do is justify 46 dollars on capacity - 160 outdoor refills is about 27 gallons, which is a weekend's worth for a group. It earns its place in a go-bag or as the second half of the Go Berkey Kit, not as a standalone value purchase.

The Sport Berkey is a 22-ounce squeeze bottle with the filter built into the straw, which makes it the only Berkey product that filters on demand rather than by gravity.
The media works by adsorption combined with ionic absorption, which the manufacturer targets specifically at dissolved heavy metals including aluminum, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead and mercury. Rated life is up to 640 refills on municipal or well water and up to 160 on untreated outdoor sources - roughly 27 gallons in the field.
The bottle is BPA-free LDPE #4 with a stated 50-year shelf life for storage, and it is the same bottle bundled inside the Go Berkey Kit. Replacement filters are sold separately.
