Renogy is the brand of RNG International, Inc., of Ontario, California, which Dr. Yi Li founded in 2010.
It sells direct from renogy.com and its Amazon and eBay brand stores, and through Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, Camping World and Walmart's marketplace.
The Renogy RIV1220PU-126 is a 12 V pure sine wave inverter rated 2,000 W continuous (16.6 A AC at 120 V) with a 4,000 W surge for 2 seconds, from a battery input of 11.0 to 15.5 V DC and up to 210 A. Renogy's manual rates it at 92 percent maximum efficiency, 87 percent at full load, and under 18 W of power consumption at no load. A built-in 20 A transfer switch takes AC input from 90 to 140 V and passes grid power to the loads, switching to battery and back in 20 ms each way; there is no battery charger. Output runs to two AC outlets (up to 16 A each) with an integrated GFCI, a high-output AC terminal block for hardwiring, and a 5 V/2.1 A USB port, and an N-G bonding relay switches the neutral-to-ground bond. Bluetooth is built in for the Renogy app, and a wired remote connects on a 5 m (16.4 ft) RJ12 cable. It measures 18.3 x 9.9 x 3.8 in (468.3 x 250.4 x 95.3 mm), weighs 12.8 lb, has M8 DC terminals and runs from -4 °F to 113 °F. The box holds the inverter, the wired remote, the RJ12 cable, two 3 ft 1/0 AWG battery cables and the manual; Renogy recommends a 250 A battery fuse.
