4.1 out of 10

At 100 W it sits on the bottom rung for a rigid panel, so it scores 1 on capacity.

Better on capacityRenogy 200W N-Type PanelAt 200 W it sits on the typical rung for a rigid panel. $179.99Scores 5.0

Its 100 W from 0.50 square meters works out to 20.0 percent module efficiency, against the 25 percent cell figure Renogy advertises, so it scores 4 on efficiency.

Renogy's datasheet gives a temperature coefficient of Pmax of -0.32 percent per °C, so it scores 5 on operating range.

Renogy's datasheet gives a 25-year power output warranty without the share of output held at year 25, and the panel is missing from Renogy's warranty schedule, so it scores 5 on lifespan.

Better on lifespanRenogy 200W N-Type Panel$179.99Scores 7.0

An IP68 junction box and bifacial cells earn 4 of 8 feature points, with two bypass diodes and no split-cell layout, so it scores 6 on features.

No certifier directory (Intertek, UL Product iQ, CSA, SGS, TÜV or the CEC lists) lists this model, so it scores 2 on verification.

Reddit owners mostly report Renogy's rigid panels holding up: an r/OffGrid owner has run several for more than a decade with none failed, and an r/vandwellers thread on the brand sums it up as panels fine, other gear less so. An r/VanLife owner's RSP200D lost half its voltage after about 18 months, and Renogy shipped a replacement in two weeks under the 5-year warranty; that poster is quoted on Renogy's own ShadowFlux page. An r/SolarDIY buyer of the 200 W suitcase reported a defective charge controller, two wrong replacement parts and dozens of emails before a 20 percent refund (2025).

Footprint Hero, which links Renogy panels through Amazon and through Renogy's own affiliate program, ranked Renogy's older 100 W mono panel first of five 100 W panels it tested: 71.6 W peak in a December output test (2021) and 570 Wh over 24 hours against 490 Wh from a Newpowa (2023). On DIY Solar Forum, a 2022 thread opens with an owner whose Renogy gear still works after a decade, while a thread titled 'I only get 85W out of my Two Renogy 100W panels' reports one panel as low as 40 percent of rating and four averaging 54 percent.

YouTubeBrand-level6.0 out of 10

Both channels found carry a tie to the panels they review. Freedom in a Can, which passes on a 10 percent Renogy code through Renogy's affiliate link, found no delamination on two 100 W flexible panels after 9 months and 9,000 miles. Johnny's Weekends, which earns Amazon commission on the panels it links, found Renogy's 200 W flexible panel performed well but trailed a CIGS panel under shade (2023, about 128,000 views).

Most of those reviews name the 250 W panel, which was on sale before this one. Amazon's review summary says owners like the build quality while power output draws mixed reports, one owner measuring 170 W from the 250 W panel.
